Matthew C. Martino was born on October 27, 1992 in Harare, Zimbabwe as Mathetes Chihwai. He is a British Entrepreneur, Film Producer and Author. Educated at Shenfield High School in Brentwood, Martino has always held a passion for writing - He has always focused on educational writing and research. His first book Lets Fly which was published by DM Aviation was well received by pilots and aviation enthusiasts around the world.
Lets Fly is a book for aspiring pilots (more than 12k copies sold worldwide). On May 28 2013, he announced his second book Go For It during a night out in Mayfair. Go For It is a business start-up manual. Experience the joy of doing something meaningful.
During his early years Martino showed all the qualities required to maintain proven success. Martino has lived in Brentwood, United Kingdom for seven years before which he lived in his hometown of Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. He used to be DJ during his teen years under the name DJ Eazi M.
In 2012 he announced his pilots manual Lets Fly would be free for all, a move which was dubbed by critics as a way to boost publicity and sales for the struggling book.Martino has had a strong passion for aviation from a young age which led to the publishing of his pilots manual Lets Fly, he went on to design Lets Fly App and launch aviation resource site Lets Fly Academy, He made the official announcement for the App and the Academy at his birthday proceedings at Holiday Inn Brentwood in 2012.
Martino founded aviation consultancy firm “Lets Fly Academy” back in October 2012. In 2012 Matthew also made cameo appearances in About Time directed by Richard Curtis and Dom Hemingway starring Jude Law.
In an interview he said “I have always been obsessed with creating excellence in everything I do. In my quest for excellence as a film maker, I have traveled different places learning the tools and techniques as a result of being on the ‘front line’, filming in different environment are part and parcel of my life.”
In early 2013 his directing debut Lets Fly Documentary was aired on TV Perú as part of celebrations for a national aviation holiday in Peru.
