Candidates who cleared XII examination in 2012 with less than minimum marks for qualifying examination (MMQE) and could not qualify JEE 2012, they will be eligible to appear for a Board re examination in 2013 so as to obtain MMQE and will be eligible to write JEE Advanced 2013. CBSE has also decided that the admission to any of the IITs will be based on category wise All India rank in JEE Advanced on a condition that the candidates represent the top twenty percentile. For admission to NITs, 40% weightage would be given to XII scores and 60% to the performance in JEE Main. A combined All India Rank would be decided accordingly. On the request for state engineering colleges and universities, the JEE Main examination will also be conducted in the regional languages.
