Light colours suggest sophistication; many homeowners are attracted by light coloured furniture. It is not just about the look but there are number of other reasons why homeowners are attracted towards white or light coloured furniture.

First and foremost light coloured furniture makes the room look light and airy; it usually comes at a smaller price and makes for a much elegant furniture piece. Interestingly, most of the world renowned and sophisticated yet fashionable designs are churned out of Italy and Italian furniture designs use very light colours often using many shades of white, cream and grey.

However, homeowners should not blindly choose light coloured furniture for their home or rooms. The choice of colour should coordinate and blend well with the rest of the room. Do not mix similar colours together for example if you have a yellow coloured wall, do not use golden furniture or light brown furniture. If your walls have light blue colour then it is safe to use golden shades.

Walls that are slightly darker than the furniture may compliment it, but a further increase in shade might break the all over look of the room. White and cream coloured furniture complement darker wall shades. If both the wall shades and the furniture colour are similar then the darker one may look dirtier.
Using light and soft coloured accessories with light coloured furniture always enhances the beauty of the furniture. The all over room gets a pure and elegant look.

The magnificent and glittering chandelier is pride of any modern home. These attractive pieces of artwork add a dash of shimmer to your home while illuminating your lives.

Chandeliers have been a popular living room and dining room choice. The attraction of chandelier is so strong that homeowners now prefer to put it in bedroom and other areas of the house as well. From drawing room to dining room, from magnificent to small, all types of chandeliers have made an entry into the modern house and is definitely here to stay.

Magnificent Chandeliers for Living Room

The most common area to hang this beautiful art-piece is the living room. According to the area of your living room choose the size of the chandelier. Choose a chandelier with 8-12 arms hanging downwards for a larger room. Choose the shade of the lights according to the colour of the walls. Chandeliers with matt white finish and aluminium shades work best with white walls. If you want more glitter and glamour in your living room then go for chandeliers with crystals and pendants hanging from it. The crystals would add an extra dash of spark to the whole aura. You can also use chrome plated, Italian crystal pendant laden chandeliers which comes with LED lighting system ballast with a remote control. Also, you can try using gold plated and silver coated chandeliers for your living room.

The Shadowy Chandeliers for Dining Room

Another popular part of your house where you can deck this delightful beauty is the dining room. Choose a chandelier according to the colour and shade of your dining room furniture and walls. Also, do not use lot of bling in the dining room. If you like shimmer and shine more than the sober look you can go for brighter large chandelier but then try to avoid chandeliers with crystals and pendants hanging from it. You can use a stunning 6 arm Murano glass chandelier, available in different colours. A small chandelier with smoky crystal arms and clear crystal plumes of ridged glass can also do the wonders for a dining room area. Alternatively, you can also use chandeliers with upward facing lamps with glass frames blown by Murano glass blowers to add more suave to the dining room area. Large chandelier with 18 lights made of solid nickel and elegant dark lilac shades will work best for a dining room.

The More Sober Chandeliers for Study Room Area

A study room calls for a ‘no frill’ ‘no show’ chandelier; however, you can use chandelier according to your taste and style. A modern looking chandelier with lampshades in lacquered aluminium will go best with white walls and brown wooden furniture. A chandelier with white crystal pendants and white arms overlooking the bookcase may complement the rows of books stacked in a wooden case. Try using a smoke coloured glass chandelier to add a touch of rustic and ancient charm to the study room.

Dining Room calls for a handsome set of furniture with good quality metal or wood. Dining area is the second most popular area of any house and most persistently used area as well. The glory of the dining room is suggestive of a warm and friendly environment.

From daily breakfast to lunches and then finally dinner and occasionally dining with the guests, dining room is under the fire most part of the day. Choosing good dining room furniture is thus vital. How you have designed the whole look and feel of the dining room and how user friendly it is, reflects a lot about your personality.

Dining Tables

A dining room must-have is the dining table. There is no show without the dinner table. According to the size of the room and colour of walls, also the shade and alignment of lighting choose the dining table. If wooden work bests for you then try to buy good quality lacquered wood finish dinner table. If you feel metal is in and you want to try a more modern and fun look for your dining room then go for crystal glass top dining table with strong wooden legs. You can try different combinations available in wood, metal and glass.

Dining Room Chairs

Choosing chairs for dining room becomes easy once you have decided on the dining table. Also, many furniture manufacturers or suppliers provide you the whole dining room furniture set with chairs included. Even if you decide to shop for both separately there are plenty of choices you can make. For more modern and designer furniture look go for Italian style furniture. The modern look calls for a sleek chair, with eco-leather seat and elegant metal frame and legs. With wooden dining tables go for classically styled chairs in solid beech wood coupled with upholstered seat in fabrics of different colours.

Dining Room Cupboards

Cupboards and wooden consoles are important part of dining room furniture set. Crockery set, inclusive of plates, cups and spoons needs to be stacked at one place which can be laid out during eating hours. If you do not want to use a large cupboard in the dining area, or the space does not allow so, you can use bedside chests and console as well. Again choose the console colour, shade and type according to the whole layout of the room.
